Microsoft will be visiting the campus on the afternoon of Wednesday April 9th. They will be delivering a series of presentations from 2 pm onwards in the Plymouth lecture theatre in Portland Square.

Their programme is approximately as below. This event is aimed primarily at Computing students, but all are welcome. The fact that Microsoft are prepared to come and talk to us is quite a coup.

Starting at 2 pm

-       Introduction (~1hr)

-       Silverlight (Microsoft’s answer to Macromedia/Adobe “Flash” (~30mins)

-       XNA (Games developers’ kit, a C# route to program DirectX and the Xbox) (~30mins)

-       Student Programmes and Q&A (20-30mins)
